Are you a therapist who is passionate about supporting individuals and couples throughout the fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and parenting journeys, and helping them navigate various challenges as they relate to mental health? We are looking for an ambitious, independent and motivated Registered Psychotherapist or Social Worker to join our rapidly growing team as an Independent Contractor. We work with clients across Canada, so services will always be provided virtually.
As we specialize in working with families throughout the reproductive and perinatal periods, experience with and a passion for this population is required.
You must have a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, including experience working with the perinatal and maternal mental health populations. If you don't have formal training in perinatal and maternal mental health, you must be willing to obtain this within 3 months. Experience working with couples is an asset.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Professional College Membership and Valid Professional Liability Insurance
Must have at least 2-3 years post-Master's counselling experience (no qualifying Psychotherapists will be considered).
Some evening and/or weekend availability is required.
Experience with providing individual counselling is required.
Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills as proven based on previous experience in a similar role.
Ability and desire to work independently & collaboratively as a team.
Charismatic and able to empower clients to make positive choices.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, and self-motivation
Must be willing to obtain certification in Perinatal Mental Health
Hours: 8-30 per week (depending on what you are looking for)
